N.B. This page of notes is shared by all 3 sections of 399 since it is not assigned to a particular group. You are more than welcome to sketch out—in whatever fashion you would like—notes for these days of class. Doing so could be a useful way to prepare for exams. I didn't have time to show these in class, but they are worth taking a look at for not only the animation of the two Joel Chandler Harris stories we read, but also to get a sense of the charicature of the "happy slave" that we discussed in class. The first clip certainly depicts Uncle Remus in this way.
