Tomorrow doesn't exist

(Translation of "There's No To-morrow")

They loved each other, and decided to make love,

However, that action of love meant risk;

He made her pregnant, making her beg for marriage,

He promised to marry her the next day.

In order to escape the wrath of the family, he promised once more

That he would marry her tomorrow.

The days passed without resolution;

Tired of waiting, the child-bearer

Begged him again to marry her, and he just promised the same.

He soon became tired of all the badgering of marriage,

Even though he did not want to admit to his lie,

He finally proclaimed

That he didn't have to get married because tomorrow doesn't exist;

When it comes down to it,

The present is the present, and tomorrow's a mystery[1].

This story's a joke but the lesson is so true;

The following days may increase our age:

For as we get older, we realize tomorrow never comes,

We forget that the present is here and now;

Which makes our future actions never found;

Emphasizing the future is unknown.
