How to Add Footnotes / Annotations in the Wiki

When annotating the poems on Friday, you will insert footnotes into the poem. Here's how you do this:

  1. Click "edit" at the top of the page.
  2. Place your cursor where you want to add the footnote.
  3. Click on the "Insert Plugin" button at the top-right portion of the editing toolbar.
  4. Highlight "PBwiki magic," and then click on "Footnote."
  5. You then write your note--which should be one paragraph (i.e. 5 sentences minimum) in length--in the box.
  6. Click on "Preview" when you have finished writing your annotation. A green box will appear where you placed your cursor with the content of what you've written.
  7. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page to see your finished footnote.

Once you have added a footnote to the wiki, it is very difficult to edit its text. It is much easier to simply erase your footnote and start over with these steps if you decide that you want to make some changes to what you have written. For this reason, I suggest that you write out your annotation ahead of time and simply copy and paste.

Don't be afraid to erase and repost a footnote: this is a wiki and you can't break it by editing it.
